Your new partial denture represents an effective way for replacing the general function of your multiple missing teeth. While it will not be immediately threatened by the natural bacteria in your mouth, it will still need to play an integral part of your daily oral hygiene practices.
Before going to bed at night you will need to rinse your partial denture to remove any minor food deposits or residual denture adhesive. This will provide you with a clean, fresh surface when you reapply a fresh adhesive the next morning.
You should then lightly brush all the surfaces of the partial denture with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a nonabrasive toothpaste. Once this is done, you should then store your partial denture overnight by soaking it in water or storing it in the case provided. Just be sure to tuck it away in a safe place.
You can then go about the process of brushing and flossing your natural teeth. Be sure to also floss the gumline of the teeth neighboring your partial. This will help ensure healthy gums and a comfortable fit.
